Since its launch over 20 years ago, the MEAN WELL SE-1000 series has been a best-seller, widely used in industrial control, communication equipment, LED lighting, security systems, and other applications. However, as end devices continue to evolve toward miniaturization and higher energy efficiency, the SE-1000 series has gradually become insufficient to meet current market demands. To address this shift, MEAN WELL has introduced the new LRS-1200 series, a compact enclosed power supply.
The LRS-1200 series features major upgrades in size, efficiency, specs, safety, durability, and overall value— making it a high-performance, cost-effective replacement for the SE-1000 series. A detailed comparison between the new and old models is provided in the table below:
